Prof. Yagnamurthy Sreekanth

 

Prof. Yagnamurthy Sreekanth is a Professor in Education (Assessment Studies) and Principal, at the Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru. Prior to this, he served as faculty in the Department of Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Curriculum Group and the Department of Secondary Education, NCERT. He served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Management Information System, National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA) and as Professor and In-Charge, National Talent Search Scheme and Head, Educational Survey Division, NCERT.

His recent publications include- How Do Students Perform at the School-level? He Acted as a reviewer for the Cambridge Journal of Education, Social Change, and The Professional Geographer, a Journal of Association of American Geographers; Currently, he is a Member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Educational Issues, Las Vegas, United States; Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology, Canada. His areas of interest are Students Assessment, School Leadership, education under public and private sectors, educational quality and accountability. He has also published three books, Naa(ri)galam, Naa(ri)patham (Telugu) and Defying Debacles (English).
