Prof. Yagnamurthy Sreekanth

 

Prof. Yagnamurthy Sreekanth is a Professor in Education (Assessment Studies) and Principal of the Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru. He is also the Chairman and Programme Director, MMTC. Prior to this, he served as faculty in the Department of Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Curriculum Group and the Department of Secondary Education, NCERT. He served as Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Management Information System, National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA) and as Professor and in charge of the National Talent Search Scheme and Head of the Educational Survey Division, NCERT. He received the HP Education EdTech Fellowship in 2024.

He Acted as a reviewer for the Cambridge Journal of Education, Social Change, and The Professional Geographer, a Journal of the Association of American Geographers; He was Member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Educational Issues, Las Vegas, United States; Currently, he is a member of Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology, Canada. His areas of are interest Students Assessment, School Leadership, education under public and private sectors, educational quality and accountability. He has also published three books, Naa(ri)galam, Naa(ri)patham (Telugu) and Defying Debacles (English).
